Ministry of National Defence special purpose buildings – military town

Administrative and special purpose buildings were erected in Šiauliai military town: barracks, canteen, headquarters, medical station, sports facilities and squares. Here also built a technical buildings: warehouses, garages, a gas station, a car wash and a shelter for technicians. There are also lineups and technical squares, parking spaces, among which are specially adapted for electric cars and people with disabilities. The area of the military town covers 7.8 ha.

The military town dedicated to the soldiers of the Duke Margiris infantry battalion and the 6th selection of the KASP Resurrection District was officially opened on July 19, 2024. It is equipped with even bigger barracks and headquarters than in the military towns in Pajūris and Rokantiškės, that were opened in February.
