This year, Gilesta decided to approach Christmas differently.
Instead of traditional holiday gifts, we chose to support organizations whose daily work creates long‑term, tangible value for society.
“Every day we see how much meaningful work is done by people and organizations who quietly, consistently, and without major headlines support the most vulnerable members of our society. Such work is one of the key pillars of social stability, which is why we understand the importance of business support,” says Gilesta’s CEO, Romas Paliulis.
To mark the holiday season, Gilesta offered its partners not a material gift, but a choice — the opportunity to decide which non‑governmental organizations should receive support. Based on the partners’ votes, a total of €10,000 was allocated on behalf of everyone to the following organizations:
– Mamų unija (Mothers’ Union)
– Save the Children Lithuania
– Lithuanian Red Cross
– SOS Gyvūnai (SOS Animals)
According to R. Paliulis, this decision reflects the company’s approach to business responsibility.
“Business is not separate from society. The stronger and more resilient the environment we live in, the more stable the economy becomes. That is why it is important for us not only to carry out projects but also to be part of the community — to support those who work every day for the well‑being of others. I believe this attitude should become the norm in business, not the exception,” the CEO of Gilesta notes.
