In the new three-storey building will be located an Infectious diseases diagnostic and treatment centre, which will provide secondary-level services for patients with mild or more complex infectious diseases. The building will include an admissions and emergency department with observation wards, a radiology department with X-ray and CT diagnostic equipment, a haemodialysis department with 3 inpatient beds, a 36-bed adult infectious diseases unit, a 12-bed intensive care unit and a laboratory.The modernisation of the infectious diseases diagnostic and treatment centre's premises will allow it to provide comprehensive medical care and avoid dangerous contacts with patients suffering from other infectious diseases.
The project is funded under the Economic recovery and resilience plan "Next Lithuanian Generation" by the EU's NextGenerationEU facility and the state budget.
