Ministry of National Defence special purpose buildings – military town – construction work

The planned area of the battalion - sized military town in Šiauliai is 7.8 hectares. Administrative and special purpose buildings will be constructed in the town: barracks, canteen, headquarters, medical station, etc. Sports facilities and fields are in the plans as well. Technical buildings will also be constructed in the town: warehouses, garages, a gas station, a car wash and a shelter for technicians. Supplemented with line - up and technical squares, parking spaces, including those specially adapted for electric cars and people with disabilities.

It is one of the three military campuses (the others are in Vilnius District (Rokantiškės) and Šilalė District (Pajūris town)), the construction of which is being carried out on the principle of public - private partnership.
