Co-living in Lithuania

July 21, 2023

Co-living is still a relatively new idea in Lithuania, but such co-living complexes are becoming more and more popular worldwide. Thanks to our client, 'AeroCity Group', 'Gilesta' is contributing to the promotion of this concept by becoming the builder of the 'Atlas' co-living complex, scheduled to open in January 2024. For more information, please visit the project's website www.atlasliving.lt.

Worldwide Coliving Membership, a network of co-living businesses, has conducted a study to find out why people choose to live in a 'community home' and how this changes their lives.

74.3% of respondents said that they spend more time at home after moving into a co-living space than they used to.

When asked what they expect from living in co-living accommodation, 78.8% of the respondents said that they expect to have new experiences.

Saving money as a reason for living in a co-living space came only third, cited by 57.6% of respondents.

Interestingly, when looking at the income of the respondents, their average income is 167% higher than the average GDP of the countries they live in.

And although the survey was not carried out in Europe, the findings are telling for us: sooner or later, the trends will reach Lithuania too, and understanding them is essential. And the survey makes it clear: co-living is not popular because it is cheap. Co-living is a completely new concept in life, which people are seeking because they want to be part of a community.
